HISTORY

BEGININGS

Rancho Dios Refresca was purchased in 2003 as a 4 ½ acre rancho with a single one room adobe dwelling and a separate 12’ x 12’ cinder block kitchen area with a quaint patio area for BBQ’s and enjoying the outdoors. Local Missionaries would come here to have some much needed quiet time on their day off.

IMPROVEMENTS

In the beginning we had no expectation or idea of the wonderful plan that God had in store.    As time went on we began to realize that whenever we came to our “little rancho”, we would experience not only physical rest but also a spiritual refreshing from the Lord.

Over the years the rancho was improved, remodeled and new buildings were constructed that allowed for larger groups to be accommodated.

FACILITIES

The Adobe

The Adobe was the original adobe house when the property was purchased. It has since been rebuilt and enlarged. There are two bunk beds and a sofa and has its own private bath.

The Bunk House

The Bunk House is the first new structure built in 2004. It is an adobe single story building located in the west end of the compound with four individual rooms each with its own sink. The four rooms share two baths with shower, sink and toilet. Each of the four rooms have a different sleeping configuration of bunk beds, queen bed and loft beds.

The Meeting Hall

The first floor of the Meeting Hall has a kitchen open to a large meeting room. Next to the kitchen is an outdoor BBQ area.

The second floor has a large bunk room with bunk beds and two semi private rooms each with a bunk bed and futon. A single bath is adjacent to the bunk room.

Stairs provide access to the roof deck.
